Abstract
The study was conducted on pomological and technological properties of eight hazelnut cultivars in the arid conditions of eastern Serbia.
The following properties were studied: size and mass of fruit and kernel, chemical contens of kernel and yields.
Average fruit mass for all the cultivars studied was 1.98 g (1.53–2.60), kernel content was 43.7% (37.9–48.4), whereas oil content and yields per bush amounted to 61.7% (58.2–65.7%) and 2.76 kg (2.05 kg – 3.50 kg), respectively.
