Abstract
The wood and barks of Jacaranda macrantha were examinated for bioactive constituents.
Fractionation and isolation were guided by the brine shrimp lethality bioassay and trypanocidal activity, leading to the isolation of bioactive constituents, which were identified as Jacaranone and a stigmasterol/sitosterol mixture.
