Abstract
Selected taxa of Angelonia were grown in different photoperiods (8hr, night break and combinations) and temperature regimes (10-30°C) to determine optimum environments for flowering and growth. Preliminary studies indicate that plants are day neutral for flowering. Both the time to reach visible bud stage and the time from visible bud to anthesis was unaffected. Raceme length was slightly longer in LD plants. Plants flowered more rapidly and were taller in warm temperatures, but the number of nodes to the flowering stem was unaffected by temperature. Light compenstaion and light saturation points were approximately 1000 and 200 mol.m-2.s-1 respectively.
