Abstract
In this study, net photosynthesis rate (PN), stomatal conductance (gs), leaf water potential (Ψ
), leaf osmotic potential (ΔΨ
) and leaf osmotic adjustment (ΔΨ
) of Pistacia khinjuk L. and P. mutica L. were investigated at different levels of osmotic drought stress induced by a combination of salt (NaCl) and Polyethylene Glycol 6000. Except for leaf osmotic adjustment, all variables measured decreased as osmotic drought stress increased.
An increasing trend was observed for leaf osmotic adjustment as osmotic drought stress increased.
Results showed that P. khinjuk had a higher osmotic stress tolerance than P. mutica.
