Abstract
The isolation of certain pentacyclic triterpenoid compounds from the bark of Lithocarpus elegans by electrocoagulation treatment was innovated and studied to increase the utility of this technique.
Lupeol (1) and betulinic acid (3) were identified in the electrocoagulated bark extract of Lithocarpus elegans while betulin (2), found in the untreated extract, was absent.
