Abstract
A closed greenhouse with passive cooling and dehumidification strategy is described, allowing a reduction of water consumption of 75% and continuous plant production even during hot summer conditions in Southern Spain.
Main points of examination are how the air temperature and humidity in the closed greenhouse could be kept in the allowed range without using external energy except solar energy and how a growth cycle of crop could be held successfully and plants used in a satisfying way to purify water.
