Abstract
DNA sequence diversity of soil microbial community as affected by monocropping and rotation under protected cultivation were evaluated using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis.
And effects of monocropping and rotation on cucumber yield and quality were also studied.
The results showed that the diversity index, richness and evenness index of the microbial community of rotation were higher than those of monocropping, and longer monoculture had lower soil microbial community diversity, but increasing years of rotation didnt give a trend.
Cucumber yield was lowest in the 7-year monocropping soil and also the vitamin C content in cucumber of rotation was higher than that of monocropping.
Under protected cultivation, crop rotation may be propitious to DNA sequence diversity and stability of microbial community, increased the cucumber yield and quality, and improved soil ecological environment.
