Abstract
The incidence of Aspergillus species on grape (Vitis vinifera) and raisin in Rafsanjan, Kerman province, was studied.
Samples including grape and raisin were taken from markets.
In order to isolate Aspergillus species the samples were assayed in three methods; culturing on PDA either with or without surface disinfection as well as putting on filter paper inside desiccators containing sterile distilled water.
Fungal purification was performed based on single conidial head isolation.
In the surface disinfected method on PDA only Aspergillus section Nigri was recovered which included A. niger, A. tubingensis and A. citricus species.
On the other hand, without surface disinfection and desiccators’ isolation methods Aspergillus section Nigri and section Flavi were detected.
Overall, Aspergillus section Nigri was the most common species in grape and raisin in Rafsabjan markets.
