Abstract
In the foothills of the Ararat valley (Aragatsotn marz, vill.
Karbi, at 1250 m a.s.l.) comparative studies of qualitative properties and maturation phases of the regionalized apricot tree cultivars Yerevani, Sateni, Khosroveni and Ghevondi (white apricot) as well as new experimental cutivars Arinji, Marmari, Shoger and Arax were carried out during 2007-2010. It has been determined that the fruits of Arinji are the earliest ripening of all, and accumulate the least dry substances and sugars.
The fruits of Marmari have the highest content of sugar and dry substances.
The fruits of Shoger and Arax ripen in August and September, respectively, and are of medium quality between Yerevani and Sateni.
