Abstract
The last ISHS Plant Bioregulators in Fruit Production Symposium organized by the specific working group (WG) in Bologna clearly focused on the main problems and peculiarity concerning the Plant Bioregulators (PBRs). High costs for new molecules individuation and registration, the reducing number of researchers still active in testing molecules, consumers concerning toward pesticides, which do include Bioregulators in Europe, creates general difficulties to the sector.
For instance, Chemical Companies are reducing in number, and scientific societies are seeking for strategies to maintain affiliates.
Despite these difficulties, new PBRs have been introduced in the last years in the market and their use has been found essential to solve practical problems.
