Abstract
An Investigation was undertaken to study the effect foliar application of different concentrations of CPPU with GA3 on fruit set, fruit drop, yield and physico-chemical parameters of pomegranate.
Significantly higher fruitset, fruit drop, yield, TSS as well as organoleptic evaluation of ‘Bhagwa’ pomegranate was observed in CPPU treated plants over control plants.
However there was no significant difference was noticed in terms of acidity, reducing sugar and total sugars in CPPU treated plants over control plants.
The treatment T3 i.e., T1 (10 ppm CPPU at flowering) + (30 ppm CPPU with 10 ppm GA3) was significantly superior to all other treatment in terms of fruit set, fruit drop, yield, fruit weight, TSS and cost.
