Abstract
Nine herbicides were tested for weed control in onion cv.
Red Creole transplants between 1981 and 1982. The herbicides were applied either pre- or post-emergence The most promising treatment was oxyfluorfen at 3.0 l ha-1 Other herbicides were either les effective or failed to control weeds.
Yield data indicated that oxyfluorfen-treated plots yielded as much as clean-weeded control plots despite some necrosis on the foliage of the transplants.
