Abstract
Of 51 tomato cvs tested for their field susceptibility to infestation by a mixed population of Meloidogyne javanica and M. incognita, 14 were resistant to root-knot nematodes.
These included Elio, Monita, 5 cvs Sulmac VFN, Castle-Prize VFN, Piernita, Motabo and Monitelle.
All other cvs exhibited moderate to severe galling with moderate to high numbers of egg masses respectively.
