Abstract
Use of lightsprouts in potato variety identification has great advantage because these structures are very rich in identification characteristics.
The environment for growth of good lightsprouts, however, is, in certain respects, very critical.
This paper deals with lightsprout morphology as influenced by different light environments and gives a simple and cheap method for production of sprouts with optimal variety differentiating power.
