Abstract
GEDE is an operational microcomputer software, based on linear programming, which determines the optimal distribution of the vegetal activities in a given farm, starting from technical and economic references and from the particular constraints of this farm.

It is possible to take into account every king of crop (annual, perennial and vegetables) and of constraint.
Data capture is done with type activity record and type constraint record.
A special function of this software allows to check data coherence.
The results consist in the optimal crop layout with the actual farm structure, constraints uses and the marginal productivity of every constraint completly used.

GEDE was conceived to easily realize successive simulations in order to estimate the consequences of various kinds of changes (changes in technical process of production, in prices, in external or internal farm constraints, etc …) and to study the investment possibilities.
