Abstract
Paclobutrazol (Bonzi) and chlormequat (Cycocel) were applied to Pelargonium zonale and Begonia semperflorens grown from seed in small modules.
Both gave control of vegetative growth of the two species.
P. zonale treated with Cycocel were more freely branching and earlier flowering than those treated with paclobutrazol (Bonzi). Neither material affected flowering of B. semperflorens but gave more compact plants.
