Abstract
An important aim of agriculture in the GDR is the accordance of ecological and economical aims.
For improving the starting position a broad programme of resistance breeding is implemented.
The recommandations for soil management should improve soil fertility.
Fertilization will be minimized.
The plant protection is based on controlling pests and diseases and the utilization of economically founded thresholds of tolerable infestations supported by signalization computers.
For the realization of integrated production the fruit farms employ qualified specialists.
In order to help the management a microcomputer system for planning, process management and advicing will be introduced.
