INTEGRATED APPLE PRODUCTION IN SOUTH TYROL

For about two decades the Advisory Service for Fruit- and Wine-growing in South Tyrol (Province of Bolzano, Italy) struggled to propagate a plant protection system with a low input of pesticides.
The so called guided pest control has gradually become an integrated pest management (I.P.M.) in the last years, and nowadays we are introducing an integrated fruit production programme (I.F.P.) on a relatively large scale.
