Abstract
Fundamental characteristic factors which can describe and relate the components of the greenhouse system have been developed for the general situation of a gutter connected, multi-bay greenhouse.
Parameters were determined to describe the working characteristics of laborers and machines.
Time-based performance parameters such as utilization efficiency of transporter and machines were developed.
System parameters such as total operation time and average cycle time were developed for the labor/machine/layout configuration.
These parameters may be utilized for the feasibility and design of greenhouse systems.
