“IN VITRO” ORGANOGENESIS OF HEDEOMA MULTIFLORUM BENTH
Leaves and shoots from field gathered plants were cultivated in Murashige and Skoog solution containing sucrose 2 % and agar 1.3 %, 2,4-D and BA (0.1; 1;10 μM). in different concentration were added.
The treatments were kept in the dark for 60 days.
The media where there was proliferation and regeneration of plantlets were those exposed at 40 Wm-2 25° C during 5 weeks.
Those which continued in the dark did not differentiate plantlets.
From the results obtained it can be concluded that apical and lateral shoots can regenerate the whole plant in medium 10:10 (μM) of both phytohormons, while in medium 10:0.1 (μM) only shoots were differentiated.
Multiple proliferation of roots with or without previous formation of callus was obtained in the 10:10 (μM) medium.
Calli without any differentiation of radicular and apical meristems were obtained in 10:1 (μM) and 1:10 (μM) media.
