Abstract
We studied on relationship between the chemical structures of jasmonic acid derivatives and plant growth promoting effects in field trials, and found that n-propyl dihydrojasmonate (PDJ, see Fig. 1) was the most hopeful candidate for agricultural uses at present (Fujisawa et al. 1996). In fruit production, PDJ showed the practical effects for flower thinning, promotion of fruit thickening growth, promotion of fruit maturation and prevention of cold damage.
