Abstract
1.1 Until now, IFP has been too much oriented to plant protection in the orchard; this is logic but it should be extended to other disciplines of fruit production
1.2 Nutrition management in the orchard should be based on a soil quality index and can be completed by analyses (soil and leaf)
1.3 Other orchard management factors like fruit set, fruit thinning, orchard pruning, irrigation, growth regulation, spray application techniques should be clearly defined for a realistic IFP production system
