Abstract
Tropical highlands provide appropriate conditions for a successful production of apples.
In the district of Boyacá (Columbia) there several apple orchards exist at altitudes higher than 2000 m.
Due to a lack of cold periods, cultivars with low-chilling requirements such as ‘Anna’ are recommended.
The CO2/H2O gas exchange measurements were carried out in two different orchards located at Silvania (altitude: 2215m) and Subachoque (altitude: 2615m).
