Abstract
Casoron, Gesatop 50, and Liro-CIPC, in different doses and time of application were tested during 4 years in a young cranberry plantation established on acid peat soil in North Poland.
It was found that in the first year after cranberry planting, only granular Casoron /4 kg/ha/ applied in May, or powdery Casoron /4 kg/ha/ applied in autumn, can be recommended because all other treatments significantly decreased the number of cranbery vines comparing to the control.
In the second, third and fourth year, Casoron still gave a very good weed control.
However, there were no significant differences in weed control and cranberry growth between plots with following treatments: Casoron /4 kg/ha/ in spring or in autumn, Gesatop /2 kg/ha/ in spring or in autumn, and Liro-CIPC in autumn.
All doses are given in pure ingredient.
