Abstract
In the Netherlands water plays an important role in the spread of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. dianthi and F. redolens in carnations.
Water in the drainage system of contaminated nurseries and subsequently in the ditches, can be contaminated for a long period.
It is dangerous to use this water for irrigation.
