Abstract
The studies were comparative carried out, both in the plum collections of the Faculty of Horticulture Lednice Czech Republic and Research Institute for Fruit Growing Pitesti – Romania, with 2 plum Romanian cultivars: Pitestean and Carpatin, and Stanley as control.
During 2004-2009 observations and determinations were carried out: blooming and ripening times, production capacity, quality of fruit and response of plum cultivars to Plum pox virus.
In both areas, the varieties came off by earliness, good yielding capacity, large fruit of higher quality than Stanley cultivar control and tolerance to Plum pox virus in Pitesti area.
