Abstract
This paper presents the effects of foliar nutritive fluids with two biological functions (nutrients and bioregulators) on ‘Stanley’ plum cultivar.
Three commercial brands have been used to prove their fertilizing effects according to the development crop stage on the one hand and increased disease resistance, on the other hand.
The field experiments were designed with 4 treatments and 3 randomized replications as follows: factor A – the foliar nutrient with the following graduation: a1 Megafol, a2 – Plantafol, a3 – Nutrinaft Plus and factor B – the moment of application with graduations: b1 – the first application before flowering and the next 3 treatments in the growing stage at 14 days interval; b2 – the first application after petals fall and the next 3 treatment at 14 days interval.
All products were applied manually, in the following doze: Megafol and Plantfol 3.5 L ha-1, and Nutrinaft Plus 5.0 L ha-1. The above mentioned products had a good effect on the fruit quality (mean weight, firmness and skin color) and protect fruit against diseases (Monilinia and Botrytis sp.). Products did not change neither the chemical composition, nor the taste or flavour of the treated fruits.
