Abstract
Young Red Spur Delicious apple trees were sprayed to the drip point with 125, 250, or 500 ppm aminoethoxyvinylglycine (AVG) with 0.1% v/v Triton B-1956 4 days prior to normal harvest, at full bloom (FB) the following year, or with 500 ppm at FB + 14 days.
Treatments were replicated 7 times.
Uniform limbs on 8 bearing Richared Delicious apple trees were sprayed to the drip point 4 days prior to harvest with 250 or 500 ppm AVG or the following year with 250 ppm at FB, FB + 7, FB + 14, or FB + 28 days.
Limbs on an additional 10 bearing Richared Delicious apple trees were sprayed with 250 ppm AVG with 0.1% Triton B-1956 at FB and FB + 14 days.
Treatments were replicated 7 times.
