Abstract
Vining peas belongs to the temperate regions.
Areas with typical coastal climate – mild winters and relatively cold summers.
In such an area is the island Fyn placed.

The climate factors have an important influence on growing conditions of a pea crop.
To be able to plan and carry out a sowing programme we will have to know how climate affects the growth and development of a pea plant.

The most important factors are temperature, rainfall and light.
Besides these factors the soil we choose is of great importance for the growth and not less the interaction between soil conditions and climate.
