Abstract
Isolated leaves of ‘Bravo’ cultivar were exposed to the action of electro-magnetic field /EMF/ for 1 – 30 minutes.
Many adventitious shoots developed on the rooted leaf cuttings; the largest number of them and most early emerged on cuttings treated with EMF for 1 – 15 min.
When shoots had formed five leaves they were cut off and rooted.
Growth and flowering of plants obtained from these cuttings were investigated.

A significant effect of EMF on the inhibition of the plant elongation growth, the decrease of the leaf number and on the increase of the inflorescence diameter was found.
Moreover, some plants had ligulate florets of a changed shape.
The most distinctly changes were observed in plants obtained from cuttings treated with EMF for 20 and 25 min.
No influence of EMF on the flowering date was detected.
