Quality attributes of sweet pepper cultivars grown under different irrigation regimes and cultivation systems

Abstract
The research focused on characterizing fruits collected from 22 tomato cultivars cultivated in protected spaces within the ICDIMPH – Horting germplasm collection.
The applied cultivation technology was the same for all the considered variants (cultivars). The fruits obtained were studied in terms of: weight and geometric dimensions; structural-textural firmness; dry matter content; mass of harvested fruit.
The structural and textural firmness at harvest ranged from minimum 2.7 (N) for variant V19 to maximum 9.20 (N) for variant V6. The dry matter recorded a minimum value of 4°R for variants V17 and V18 and a maximum value of 10°R for variant V13. The average mass of harvested fruit ranged from 1.24 kg for variant V18 to 10.33 kg for variant V4. The measurement of fruit weights and geometric dimensions aimed to determine the fruit’s geometric shape by cultivar.
