Abstract
This review of the tissue culture of Rubus species addresses three broad categories of research (1) virus elimination, (2) micro-propagation, and (3) ex vitro transplantation and acclimatization.
In (1) tissue culture techniques employed in virus elimination for certification of Rubus species are described.
To these protocols can be linked procedures for propagating Rubus in vitro.
Some of the advances as well as the difficulties are elaborated in (2). In (3) transplantation of rooted and non-rooted propagules is discussed and acclimatization studies described.
