Abstract
Guernsey is one of a group of Islands known as Channel Islands, situated 120 km south of England and 40 km west of France (Normandy). Location of Guernsey: 49° 30’N and 02° 30′ W.

Although the Islands are geographically close to France they are historically and economically attached to the UK. Practically all horticultural products are sold in the UK.

Area: 65 sq km.
Population: 52,000.
