Abstract
Psylla pyri has become recently the most important pear pest in the Lerida growing area, with a high level of damage.

The insect biology and the auxiliary fauna found as well as the best phytosanitary control in 1987, are presented in this report.

It is interesting to point out the good result in pest control obtained with detergents made of sodium dodecilbenzesulphanate.
