Abstract
Ethylene production, firmness, soluble solids content and acidity were measured in "Flor de invierno" pear fruits in eight different harvest dates and after three periods of cold storage.
Firmness and acidity decrease at late harvest dates.
Soluble solids content was not significantly affected by the harvest date.
Ethylene production was not measurable after harvest, fruits kept at room temperature did not show the climateric rise.
Firmness and acidity decrease at late harvest dates.
Soluble solids content was not significantly affected by the harvest date.
Ethylene production was not measurable after harvest, fruits kept at room temperature did not show the climateric rise.
After cold storage pear fruits showed a decrasse in firmess and acidity.
There were no differences between harvest dates after six moths storage.
After two or three moths cold storage all different harvest time fruits exhibit a similar climateric pattern.
Did not find a correlation between ethylene production and other parameters.
Only very significant correlation has been found between soluble solids content and weight.
