Abstract
Three years experiments with stiff stem, dwarf, very early Polish tomato cvs.
Beta 3, 11 and 40 in comparison with two standard cvs. grown on two soil types were carried out.
Introduction of very early varieties is necessary to increase tomato processing season in Poland.
Unfortunatelly extremely early cvs. like Beta 3 and 11 are less productive, especially when grown without irrigation on sandy soils.
Therefore more vigorously growing and better but slightly later yielding cv.
Beta 40 should be introduced for production in tomato processing centers.
