Abstract
Parthenocarpia was observed in melon, squash, tomato and pepper fruits grown in non-heated greenhouses during the cool season in Israel.
During the warm season or in heated greenhouses, parthenocarpic fruits were not observed.
Several crops- specific disorder in particularly misshapen fruit were associated with the incidence of parthencarpia and these appeared not to be caused by lack of fertilization and seed development.
The results of experiments carried out in each crop are presented and discussed.
