Abstract
Thirteen lines were released as new fresh market tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum mill.) cvs from a breeding program conducted during the last few years.
The evaluation experiment, using the 13 tomato lines in comparison with the F1 hybrid carmello was conducted in plastic house at Dokki Center at the Ministry of Agriculture Cairo Egypt.
The lines 1,5 and 6 either higher yielding or equal in total yield, fruit number/plant and (T.S.S.) content.
The line 6 was almost completely similar to carmello F1 hybrid in total yield/plant.
The lines 1,5 and 6 could be released as new fresh market tomato lines for commercial production under protected Agriculture in Egypt.
