Abstract
Roses propagated by cuttings, tissue culture and budding were planted in the glasshouse and unheated plastic tunnel.
Three cultivars were used: Sonia, Mercedes and Baby Baccara (Min.). The way of propagation had the effect on the yield of flowers.
These effects differed according to the used cultivar, and year of cultivation.
A condition of planted bushes strongly influenced the yield of flowers in the first year of growing, which was the best from plants obtained by budding.
Disregarding the first year, in following three years cv.
Mercedes produced more flowers on ownrooted plants, propagated mainly in vitro, cv.
Sonia on budded ones.
Yield of Baby Baccara did not significantly differ between the method of propagation.
A greater number of flowers from 1 m2 was obtained when plant density increased, but the number of flowers per one plant was higher when density decreased.
