Abstract
This study was carried out in the Adilcevaz town where is very important walnut growing centre of the Eastern Anatolia of Turkey.
The fruit quality characteristics of the 31 walnut types determined to be promising in the first year of the selection studies conducted in Adilcevaz town, were found to have qualities superior than a lot of well known walnut cutlivars.
Out of the walnut types selected by the present researchers, 12 walnut types had fruit weight above 15 g, and 13 walnut types had a kernel yield above 50%.
