Abstract
Quality management on the greenhouse holding and integral chain management, in which cooperatives between various chain parties are becoming active, increasingly seem to be a prerequisite for the survival of Dutch greenhouse horticulture.
Quality management and chain management are essential components of a market-oriented strategy.

Research was carried out into the development of quality management systems for a greenhouse holding.
Working with a quality management system on a commercial greenhouse holding improves the internal organisation.
On the initiative of growers’ groups elements of a quality management system are introduced on greenhouse holdings in order to obtain possible benefits on the market.
