Abstract
Shimei is a kiwifruit cultivar newly selected from seedlings of Actinidia deliciosa. The fruit is large with a good shape.
The flesh is green and juicy with high quality.
The average weight of a single fruit is 100 g and the biggest fruit is 170 g in Guilin, Guangxi.
The soluble solids concentration is 15%, total sugar 9.47%, total acid 0.73%, vitamin C 138 mg/100 g, and the sugar acid ratio 12.97. Its harvest season is during the first ten days of October, that is about one month later than A. chinensis cv.
Guihaia 4, which was selected by Guangxi Institute of Botany.
