Abstract
G3 is an early maturing selection of Actinidia deliciosa. The fruit is oval in shape and has an average weight of over 85 g.
Fruits mature from early to mid-September in Shaanxi and have green flesh.
The flesh has a total sugar content of over 4.0 %, total acid content of over 1.16% and a vitamin C content of over 40.6 mg/100 g fresh weight.
Fruit could be stored for 25 to 30 days at 20°C and for over 5 months in cold storage.
Ripe fruit have a tangy taste and a strong aroma and have a soluble solids content of over 17.5%. The plants begin to fruit in the third growing season after planting, and the yield of mature vines can reach 30 tonnes per hectare.
