Abstract
Four varieties of japanese plums were studied in the region of Mostar in Herzegovina.
From earlier growed varieties Burbank, Formosa and Duarte, the best results were obtained with Duarte which had the best crops and showed a good resistance to spring frosts.
The variety Florentia was recently introduced and first crops and properties of fruits showed that this variety could be very interesting for the submediterranean region of Herzegovina.
