Abstract
Data on the time of growth cessation, stored carbohydrate content in tissues and frost resistance of apple trees with different crop loads are presented.
Trees with different degrees of bearing did not differ in the carbohydrate content of branch tissues at the end of the season.
It is shown that differences in frost resistance of alternately bearing trees are connected with the duration of the terminal and radial growths.
