Abstract
The effect of exogenous growth regulators on frost hardiness of the cherry cultivar Metelitsa flower buds was studied.
Treatments were made in June during growth and in August after the cessation of the shoot growth.
The cherry bushes were treated with gibberellin at 50 and 100 ppm, ethrel at 100 and 500 ppm and CCC at 500 and 1 000 ppm.
The treatments with the growth regulators changed the level of frost resistance.
The treatment with gibberellin in June increased frost resistance and in August had reduced it.
The treatments with ethrel at 100 and 500 ppm in August increased frost resistance of flower buds.
