Abstract
The present study was carried out to test the morphological and structural characteristics of Jizhaomian walnuts based on 118 trees from 4 areas in Shandong.
The results showed that the nut shape among the germplasm resources was mainly either flat round or round, which represented 50.00 and 34.75% of the total number of samples, respectively.
The average value of walnut horizontal diameter, vertical diameter, and side diameter were 3.72, 3.61, and 3.72 cm, respectively.
The average of nut weight and kernel weight were 14.76 and 6.61 g, respectively.
The mean value of horizontal/side diameter, side/vertical diameter and horizontal/vertical diameter was 1.00, 1.03, and 1.03, respectively.
