Abstract
Dr.
Hugh Daubeny passed away on January 2, 2015. We cannot think of a more appropriate dedication to this 11th International Rubus and Ribes Symposium than to honor Dr.
Hugh Daubeny who in many ways was the patron saint of the Rubus and Ribes Symposia as he was instrumental in the early development, hosted two symposia, attended the first nine symposia and was a constant enthusiastic supporter of the meeting.
Dr.
Daubenys breeding and research accomplishments were reviewed by Hummer et al. (2009) and in a brief format by Finn (2006).
