Abstract
Botrytis cinerea, the causal agent of gray mold of small fruits, develops resistance to fungicides quickly.
Resistance to FRAC codes 1, 2, 7, 9, 11, 12, and 17 are now common in strawberry fields of the east coast.
Resistance is mostly due to an accumulation of point mutations in target genes over time, but other mechanisms, including the activity of drug efflux pumps exist.
We discovered an increase of multifungicide resistance over three years of sampling that indicates more difficult control success in the future.
An integrated approach is required to manage resistance.
