Abstract
Clivia gardenii Hook is a famous ornamental perennial herb.
Here, the complete chloroplast genome of C. gardenii is reported for the first time.
The complete chloroplast genome is 158,156 bp in length, including a large single-copy region (LSC, 86,307 bp), a small single-copy region (SSC, 18,232 bp), and a pair of inverted repeat regions (IRs, 26,809 bp). There are 130 genes annotated, containing 86 protein-coding genes, 36 tRNA and 8 rRNA genes, with the overall GC content of 37.96%. The phylogenetic tree shows that C. gardenii is closely related to Clivia miniata.
